In the present investigation, the wear characteristics of Al6061/SiC+Frit hybrid metal matrix composites fabricated by a stir casting technique by varying the reinforcement content from 0 wt. % to 6 wt.% in steps of 2 wt.% and keeping the SiC reinforcement constant of 6 wt.%. The adhesive wear behavior of hybrid composite was studied by using dry sliding pin on disc machine. The wear surface of the composite material was examined using the scanning electronic microscope. The result shows that the density, wear rate and co-efficient of friction decreases by increasing in weight percentage of reinforcements.
